SHIPPING POLICY

At Red Cloak Home, every piece is handcrafted and built to order. Due to the size and nature of our custom furniture, bars, kitchen islands, retail fixtures, and other large items, most orders are shipped via Less-Than-Truckload ("LTL") freight carriers.

1. SHIPPING METHOD

Red Cloak Home utilizes LTL freight transportation whenever possible. LTL freight allows customers to benefit from lower shipping costs by utilizing available space on larger freight shipments traveling to similar destinations.

Because LTL freight is dependent upon available carrier capacity, routing, terminal transfers, and freight consolidation, transit times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

2. DELIVERY SERVICE

Standard freight delivery includes delivery to the customer's driveway, curbside, or other carrier-designated accessible delivery location.

Freight carriers do not provide:

  • Inside delivery
  • Placement inside a home or building
  • Assembly services
  • Debris removal
  • Moving furniture upstairs, downstairs, or through the residence

Customers are responsible for arranging any additional assistance required to move products from the delivery location to their final destination.

3. DELIVERY DELAYS

Estimated delivery dates are provided solely as a convenience and are not guaranteed.

Red Cloak Home shall not be responsible for delays resulting from:

  • Freight carrier scheduling
  • Limited trailer space availability
  • Route changes
  • Terminal transfers
  • Weather conditions
  • Labor shortages
  • Mechanical breakdowns
  • Freight consolidation practices
  • Actions of the primary freight carrier or lessor
  • Freight being rescheduled, rerouted, postponed, or displaced by other shipments
  • Any circumstances outside Red Cloak Home's reasonable control

No refunds, discounts, or compensation shall be provided due to shipping delays outside of Red Cloak Home's control.

4. SHIPPING CHARGES

Customers are responsible for all shipping, freight, delivery, accessorial, liftgate, storage, redelivery, residential delivery, and related transportation charges unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Additional fees assessed by the freight carrier after shipment may be the responsibility of the customer.

5. SHIPPING INSURANCE

Shipping insurance is strongly recommended and may be available for purchase at an additional cost.

Customers who purchase shipping insurance may be eligible to submit claims for covered shipping-related damage pursuant to the insurance carrier's terms and conditions.

Customers who decline shipping insurance acknowledge and accept all risks associated with freight transportation and agree to pursue any available remedies directly with the freight carrier in the event shipping damage occurs.

6. INSPECTION UPON DELIVERY

Customers must carefully inspect all shipments before signing the delivery receipt.

If damage is visible:

  • Note all damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.
  • Take photographs of the packaging and product.
  • Notify Red Cloak Home immediately.

Concealed damage must be reported to both the freight carrier and Red Cloak Home within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.

Failure to properly document shipping damage may limit recovery options through the freight carrier or insurer.

7. RISK OF LOSS AND SHIPPING DAMAGE

Ownership and risk of loss transfer to the customer once the shipment has been tendered to and accepted by the freight carrier.

Red Cloak Home carefully packages all products prior to shipment but does not control the handling, transportation, storage, routing, scheduling, or delivery practices of third-party freight carriers.

Accordingly, Red Cloak Home shall not be responsible for loss, damage, delay, mishandling, or other occurrences caused by third-party shipping companies after the shipment has left our facility.

Customers agree that any claims relating to shipping damage, shipping delays, or freight handling issues shall be pursued through the freight carrier and/or shipping insurer when applicable.

8. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By placing an order with Red Cloak Home, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  • Freight delivery is driveway or curbside only.
  • Transit times are estimates and may change without notice.
  • LTL freight shipments may be delayed due to carrier capacity and routing requirements.
  • Shipping insurance is optional but strongly recommended.
  • The customer is responsible for all shipping-related charges.
  • Freight carriers are independent third parties and are not agents or employees of Red Cloak Home.
  • Claims arising from shipping damage, delay, loss, or carrier handling may be subject to the policies and procedures of the freight carrier and/or shipping insurer.
